Does this speech have any parallel here in the States?

Economy blurb
23 03 2009I woke up this morning hearing that President Obama wanted to spend another trillion dollars on the economy…
I ain’t real happy ’bout that. Aside from the fact that our elected officials are treating the American taxpayers as the personal ATM machines, one must wonder if America is going bankrupt in spending the trillions of dollars it doesn’t have. The positive rally these past couple weeks gives me some hope that we can rebound, but as every child discovers at some point, money does not grow from trees. We need some kind of coherent plan of recovery, and it’ll be nice if President Obama would communicate one to us. One gum-chewing, stonewalling, incoherent President is enough for one generation. Trading an incoherent Texas twang for an incoherent baritone Brahmin from Harvard doesn’t increase my confidence.
China and Europe can only buy up so much of our debt. What happens when everyone’s pocketbook goes empty? Worldwide national insolvency?

Times like these, you just have to keep clear that if Jesus wants us to have a revival, we’ll have it. Apart from Christ all things fall apart and the center cannot hold. And all this riled up talk of collapse and encroaching tyranny doesn’t matter if God doesn’t watch the watchmen.

Shep Smith’s Howard Beale moment
19 03 2009A few months ago back in early December, the Web Bots said they deciphered a language in their findings that said that bankers would be attacked some time this year.
If this reaction is any indication, I wonder where all this is heading. Maybe they were right… scary times ahead.
